The International Council of Journalist (ICJ) was founded by a vibrant personality, Dr. Vipin Gaur. Being a not-for- profit Organization, IJC has been representing the Owners, Publishers, Editors and Journalist of National & International Newspapers, Magazines, News Portals, Digital T.V, Electronic Media and Social Media of the International Media community. The chief aphorism of the ICJ is to defend, endorse and boost up the significance of International Media community by pointing out the difficulties, which have been troubling the small scale as well as medium scale Media Industry.
All the issues are tackled effectively by the active members and they can utilize this common platform by interacting with each other. All the active members can locate and isolate the problems and simultaneously present the issues in front of the higher authorities. A great multiplicity of personages is associated with The International Council for Journalist, which houses various categories of membership. The members are notified of the latest events. It acts as a collective voice for different Newspapers (Daily, Weekly’s, Bi Weekly’s Fortnightly’s, Monthly’s, Online Digests & others) Portals, Digital T.V, Electronic Media and Social Media. All over the country, there are News Media of different dialects which are connected to the organization.
The key focus of the international Council Journalist is based on six strategic priorities affecting the Media industry collectively. Marketing, public policy, diversity, industrial development, operations and readership/ Viewership are the issues observed and regulated by the ICJ for honing the skills of various vernaculars published throughout the country. In addition, the ICJ aims to persuade and support small and medium newspapers, journals, periodicals, Portals, Digital T.V, Electronic Media and Social Media etc. This is needed in order to create ground-breaking sustainable social enterprises and to build a just, civil society in the world. On the other note, the ICJ has a willingness to be a wide-ranging and open network thorough which free and independent media can be promoted and all the participations in the network are provided with a voice. It also encourages the contribution of understanding and the sharing knowledge between the members.
The ICJ is such an association which aids the Regional Media to acquire more strength, which is completely necessitated by the fact that the press is the fourth pillar of democracy and the members could be capable of fetching attraction from its hinterlands.
